About Trinisha Browne

Trinisha Browne is a Trinidadian artist hailing from Montreal, Canada .
Born in Trinidad & Tobago
Where she was raised by her Grandparents.

She grew up in a household of 90’s R&B, Hip-Hop Reggae and Gospel Music which was a big spark of inspiration and has an impact on her music up to this very day.

During her years of high school, Trinisha Browne enjoyed classes such as physical education and English, but her favourite was art class, where she found herself falling in love with drawing and sketching.

Over the years she began to turn her drawing into water-based paintings. Her album cover Thought You Should Know is the first drawing Browne ever turned into a painting, from 2014.
Browne also fell in love with writing poetry in her early teens and used it as her way of expressing emotions she would otherwise have kept bottled up. It was also during these years that Browne began singing in the church choir at Act Pentecostal Church in Montreal.

Her love for visual art, poetry and music led Browne to exploring various artistic opportunities in the city of Montreal. There, she was able to branch out into other fields such as acting and performing. This interest in acting led Browne to joining the Black Theatre Workshop in Montreal where participated in her first play, performing the role of a mother in an unknown play, directed by Tamara Brown.

In December 2016, Trinisha Browne released her first solo EP Freewrite, which was featured on the website of VOIR Magazine. In March 2017, Trinisha released her second solo EP Thought You Should Know, which led to her being interviewed by VICE Quebec. In the Fall of 2017, Browne was interviewed by VICE Quebec, where she discussed The EP Thought You Should Know and shared insights on what her creating process is like and the sources that influence her work. Most recently, in December 2017, she experienced her first big opening for Azealia Banks at L'Olympia in Montreal, Canada.

On the 14th of February 2019
Browne released her new 3rd EP “Red Roses
Where she shares a combination of love stories with her fans & listeners.

Trinisha Browne is a promising young artist with an impressive voice and an even more remarkable message.
