Th' Dudes

1) Th' Dudes were a rock'n'roll band from Auckland, New Zealand, that existed in the late 70s.
Despite only a brief existence, the band enjoyed considerable success in their homeland, and were responsible for the hits "Bliss", "Right First Time" and "Be Mine Tonight".

The band was notably the launching pad of the succesful musical career of vocalist/guitarist Dave Dobbyn.

2)The Dudes are the name for an indie rock band from Canada. The Dudes are newcomers to the indie rock scene hailing from Calgary Alberta. Musically sounding similar to such artists as Modest Mouse, their low-fi indie sound has attracted a cult following from the very beginning. The story began in 1996 when a house in Calgary was bought by the band and dubbed "Rock Central". It was here that the first rough and dirty but deliciously catchy album "This Guy's The Limit" was recorded.

In 2006 The Dudes recorded their newest album called "Brain Heart Guitar" which contained many tracks off their original basement album but polished and perfected in studio. The band is currently touring around Canada drinking, loving and doing math equations.
