Bonneville 7 Biography

HISTORY: Bonneville 7 was originally formed in 1999 with two members from the Guana Batz, Pip Hancox and Jonny Bowler, Becky Russell and Mike Bonilla. Becky reformed the band in 2018 with Bryan Kelly and Eddie Montoya to make it the band it is today.

GUITAR/ VOCALIST, BRYAN KELLY: Like his fellow band mates it all started at a very young age for San Diego native Bryan Kelly, sweating it out in his parents garage year after year, sharpening his skills on his instrument and fine tuning his vocal prowess. After playing many a backyard shows with various bands of friends in his teenage years Bryan finally graduated to playing the local bar scene with his first band, a rockabilly trio known as the Handsome Devils. After a few years Bryan and the Devils parted ways which brought about the formation of Hard Fall Hearts, an energetic punkabilly trio that has been touring the U.S. and Europe for the past 10 years. When he's not on stage with HFH, Bryan keeps the party going with Bonneville 7!! As a proudly endorsed member of Gretsch guitars, Bryan has come to kick ass and chew bubble gum...and he's all out of bubble gum!!!

Sub- BASSIST/ BACK UP VOCALIST, EDDIE 'Velvet Elvis' MONTOYA:
Eriberto ( Eddie) Montoya slaps that big dog house bass, better known as Marilyn. Eddie has played with many rockabilly bands in and around San Diego. He has been a musician since he was just a kid. He started on the accordion at the age of five playing in his family’s mariachi band. He has played many instruments. Started playing the violin at the age of 11. His roots are in mariachi music but has since spread out into several other genres including rockabilly and blue grass. Eddie has played with Bands like Johnny Deadly Trio, Bonneville Wheels, Flipside Burners and has subbed for many others. Eddie is a true show man of Bonneville 7.

DRUMS/BACK UP VOCALS, BECKY RUSSELL: Becky’s drumming started when she was 9 years old. She stole a pair of drumsticks out of her big brother’s room that he brought home from school. She began beating on the furniture. Then did the school band thing. At 15 she got into the ‘Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugel Corps’. When Becky moved to southern California she was in several touring bands in the west coast before getting the opportunity to play in Southern California with the ‘Guana Batz’ in the late 1990’s. Two of the boys from the Guana Batz started ‘Bonneville 7’.
Between playing drums and racing motocross, Becky continued playing in several working bands. Becky started ‘Bonneville 7’ back up with ‘Hard Fall Hearts’ front man Bryan Kelly and Eddie Montoya. They play all over Southern California.
Becky has entertained crowds in San Diego’s Gas Lamp, and all over San Diego County with 'Big Rig Deluxe' for years. Later, joined 'Hoosier Daddy', playing private parties having a whole lot of fun. Often, Becky would set with 'Robin Hinkle Band' performing all over so Cal. Robin’s shows use a variety of musical talent, always changing. Becky was also in the band's 'Stilettos', ‘JumpStart’, ‘Shoutgun House’, 'Stoney B Blues Band', ‘Lance Dieckmann Band’, 'Flipside Burmers', 'Charles Burton Blues Band'. Subbed with 'Chil Boy', 'Big Daddy & the Money Shakers, Cash Kings' and others. Currently playing with 'Bonneville 7'. Becky started 'Bonneville 7' back up using front man Bryan Kelly from 'Hard Fall Hearts'.
Becky is endorsed by Pork Pie Percussion, T-cymbals, Cooper Grove Performance Drum Sticks Drum Flip and a Pro deal with Aquarian Drum Heads.
