Horndogz

HornDogz is a trio of «producers» made up of Eric «Shrizzadelic» Rohner (saxophones), Gil «C-Freak» Garin (trumpet) and Rico «Adiko» Kerridge (guitar / composition). They have chosen to invite artists they encountered on this or the other side of the Channel and Atlantic in order to record an album with the producer Adam Bastard, due to be released on the label Uptone Records: « WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN BLOWING UP LATELY ? » In the course of summer 2010 they stand in for the P-Funk All Stars horn section of George Clinton during his French tour. For this occasion they are baptized «HornDogz» by bassist Lige Curry with whom they record as a result of this very tour. For a long time they have been itching for a musical project highlighting the horns, they adopt this name in order to tell their «canine horn stories». HornDogz was born. Together with guitarist/composer Rico «Adiko»Kerridge the trio of producers invite the following to join them to record a mind-blowing album: Amp Fiddler, Bibi Tanga, Blitz the Ambassador, Breis, Fred Wesley, Greg Boyer, Jee Williams, Juan Rozoff, Lige Curry, Mary Griffin, Michael Clip Payne, Mike Larry & Jude Kidsude Pericles, P-Funk Horns, Peeda, Sadiq Bey & Ty. Instrumental but not only, Jazz maybe, certainly danceable! Avec Rico Kerridge à la composition, le trio de Producers invite des artistes qu'ils rencontrent sur scène ou en studio pour un album qui sortira début 2013 sur le label Uptone Records : Fred Wesley, Michael Clip Payne, Mary Griffin, TY, Blitz the Ambassador, Breis, Lige Curry, Greg Boyer, Bibi Tanga, Juan Rozoff, Peeda, Mike Larry & Jude Kidsude, Jee Williams … ---------------- BIOGRAPHIE Le saxophoniste ERIC „SHRAA“ ROHNER et le trompettiste GILLES „C-FREAK“ GARIN se sont rencontrés dans les années 90 au sein du groupe culte parisien Malka Family. Depuis ils ont affiné leur complicité musicale et leur son de section au fil des années, intégrant de nombreuses formations. (Délé Sosimi, George Clinton, Gréements de Fortune, Juan Rozoff, Alpha Blondy, Jim Murple, Sergent Garcia ...) Au cours de l'été 2010, ils remplacent au pied levé la section de cuivres du P-Funk All Stars de George Clinton sur sa tournée française. Ils sont à cette occasion baptisés "Horndogz" par le bassiste Lige Curry, pour qui ils enregistrent par la suite. Ayant depuis longtemps l'envie d'un projet musical mettant en avant leur section, ils adoptent ce nom pour raconter leurs histoires de "chiens cuivres".
