JOKO From many genres and influences, Joko's musicians have welded a funky jazz dance groove, heavily influenced by different styles of African music: soukous, highlife, afrobeat, township; and mbalax, after a few years working with Gambian master percussionist Musa M'Boob. Butxaca are a new Brighton sextet playing an eclectic mix of jazz influenced music who met playing together in various bands in Brighton (Trees, SJO, Studio 9, The Elevators, SkaKestra, Jazz for Small Dogs) and share a passion for tunes that groove and energise, or touch your soul.
