Says you, "Kevin Fowley, come to Studio 10 on Wicklow Street on Friday the 29th of November 2019 at 8pm and sing songs and play music with some of the best musicians you know".

"OK," says I.

Says you, "Kevin Fowley, ask that absolutely sound headed Cathal Caulfield to open on the night and sing songs and play tunes".

"I will," replies I.

"He's class," adds I.

Says you, "Kevin Fowley, ask me to pay €10 to attend if I'm an early birdie and €12 on the door if I'm a delayed dodo".

"Certainly," breathes I.

Says you (politely), "Kevin Fowley, give me more details below please".

"Yes," yeses I.

The time has come once more for Kevin Fowley to perform music publicly in an organised manner. Come through and see Kevin's first and last Dublin headlining concert of 2019 (probably).

In the gorgeous setting of Studio 10, right around the corner from Grafton Street, joined by some of the finest Irish musicians going, Fowley will perform fan favourites such as 'any of the four songs he actually has released' and 'a few other ones you have and haven't heard yet', as well as—most likely—'that old one about the treehouse that people like because it kind of has a chorus'.

Tickets are €10 online and €12 on the door.

Having developed a style of guitar playing influenced and informed by folk music and guitarists of the Takoma/ American Primitive persuasion, Kevin Fowley began performing as a solo act in 2017.

With a number of appearances at Irish festivals and performances in his native Dublin, Fowley has captured listeners with his distinctive guitar style and literary lyrics that fall somewhere between poetry and prose, inciting comparisons to Nick Drake and John Martyn.

Fowley's debut release Oh, Mongrel arrived at the end of 2018. The four songs on Oh, Mongrel are turbulent and tender, ordered and stormy.

Cathal Caulfield is a Dublin-based singer and fiddle player. His deep understanding of Irish traditional music as well as his mastery over both fiddle and voice have enabled him to draw inspiration from the singing and fiddling traditions and combine the two to create a unique sound that is new and exciting while maintaining a respect for the great music makers of the past.

Cathal is currently the Young Singer in Residence for the Howth Singing Circle and has featured on Episode II of This Ain’t No Disco.
