Cirrus Crown Biography
Cirrus Crown, a weather phenomenon associated with thunderstorms, is a metaphor that perfectly encapsulates the band's energetic, dynamic, heavy and ambient music. The Melbourne-based progressive hard rock five-piece's sound "is hard to pin down to any particular influence," however, there are evident shades of Karnivool, Gojira, Dead Letter Circus and Cog. Their songs "utilise dynamics and ambience to provide contrast to the pulsating heaviness" and takes the listener on a "highly dynamic ride."
The band features a strong lineup consisting of "gig-hardened players and performers"; vocalist Markus Saastamoinen (Degrees of Separation), guitarists Pete Borzeta (Acolyte, Fading Hour) and Ross Niven (Fear is a Liar), bassist Matt Manders (Orsome Welles) and drummer Lorne Lippiatt (Alpha Remedy).
Cirrus Crown exploded onto the scene to a full-capacity room and quickly became known for their "powerful performances," "immense energy" and "taking the audience on a journey filled with charging, high-energy intensity." Since their sold our debut show, they have been steadily building a dedicated fanbase.
With their highly anticipated debut single releases on the horizon, Cirrus Crown has its sights set to the skies.
