We’re 10 and we’re celebrating for a week straight. 7 days of live sonic melodies, installations, DJs, raucous dance and a very good 10x10 menu from the Breslin with $10 plates and cocktails in honor of our first decade. Ever upward and you’re invited. On Wednesday: DJ sets and an all nighter of beautiful mayhem. The Icon of the Dance and LGBTQ communities worldwide, songwriter, DJ, producer, label owner closes Ace’s 10 years celebrations. In Ultra’s three decades of making music, she has remained a musical chameleon, embracing a variety of sounds. Her friend Rustam Ospanov will open the night. DJ, broadcaster and founder of Jazzystan Music Festival, Rustam Ospanoff has produced 26 festivals over the past decade, helping put artists like Jamiroquai, Incognito, Omar, Gilles Peterson and EZRA Collective on stage and behind the decks. For his own sets, Rustam brings the best in hip-hop, house, electronica, soul, funk, tropical, Latin, nu jazz, reggae, garage, disco, jazz and – you name it. You'll find him in our lobby tonight from 7pm till late.
