Born Josh Andres, and taking on the stage name Statik Link, the producer has always had a knack for being in the spotlight. At a young age, the producer learned guitar and trumpet, something that is still incorporated in his music today. “I was always fascinated by music. It’s always been a part of my life. The Chronic, by Dr. Dre, was a huge inspiration to me. I’ve always been drawn to funky sounding hip-hop. I try to incorporate that into my music today” says Statik Link.
