Scranton Cultural Center presents Winter Blues Guitarmageddon V Vanessa Collier with 'King' Solomon Hicks and The Gabe Stillman Band Emcee Chris 'Bad News' Barnes A One Night Mini Festival Showcase featuring three rising stars under age thirty who are instrumental in keeping the blues alive. A Five-time Independent Blues Awards and three-time Blues Music Awards nominee, Collier is circling back from a world tour promoting 'Honey Up.' Hicks' began playing at the Cotton Club at age 13 as Lead Guitarist, his first major release is due from Mascot Label Group. The Gabe Stillman Band has been the supporting act for George Thorogood & The Destroyers. Seating is general admission, first-come first-served, Cabaret Style seating. Due to the nature of live events, prices, artists, dates, times and venue are subject to change. Price Increases Day of Event. "King" Solomon Hicks is an American blues guitarist born in Harlem, NY. His style of music ranges from jazz, blues, classical, gospel, R&B, funk, Afro-Cuban, and classic rock. His first recording was when he was 14 with the Cotton Club All-Star Band. He has toured in Spain, Denmark, Germany, Mexico, Japan, Bahamas, Bermuda, Barbados, and the United States. His debut album, Harlem, will be released by Provogue Records in March 2020.
