The Volts

The Volts formed in Sydney in early 2003 from the ashes of several successful outfits and out of the desire to Rock. Rock hard. Rock well. And Rock often. The Volts gigged intensely in Australia from 2003 to 2007, and also toured the UK in 2004. In 2006, The Volts released their debut album titled "Rock n Roll, Rant n Rave". Over the years, The Volts have graced many of Sydney's best loved live music venues, including the Annandale, Gaelic Club, Lansdowne, Vic On The Park, Excelsior, Hopetoun, Sandringham and Spectrum, sharing the stage with the likes of Wolfmother, Celibate Rifles, Hell City Glamours and Ooh La La. Songwriting and recording commitments, as well as other projects, saw The Volts take a break from the live scene before reappearing in 2010. Refreshed with a new lineup, The Volts are back with a vengeance on the Sydney rock scene. A second album is well underway, and will be released in 2013.
