About this concert
TRACK DOGS
Comprising two Irishmen (Dublin & Wicklow), an Englishman (Sheffield) and an American (Vermilion, Ohio), the band came together in 2011 to make their unique brand of acoustic music; a veritable 4×4 of voices and instruments identified for their dynamic fusion of styles including folk, latin, Americana & even some bluegrass.
The Madrid-based band whose name derives from the maintenance crews working the New York subway system released their fourth studio album Kansas City Out groove in March 2018 a mix of all that makes the Track Dogs sound so special, in healthy doses of Americana, Latin & Folk.
genre-busting acoustic music built around folk, Americana and bluegrass will delight established fans and gain them plenty of new ones
RNR, magazine July 2018, UK
based in Madrid and with instruments that include cajon, banjo, ukulele, mandolin and trumpet and, rather obviously Spanish guitar, the quartet serve up a south of the border fiesta exuberance that defies you not to stomp the heels and play air castanets.the groove is most definitely on.
Fatea Magazine, UK
These Track Dogs have unmistakably their own sound, fans of the work of Manu Chao and Calexico undoubtedly appreciate Kansas City Out Groove.

Track Dogs Biography
Track Dogs are two Irishmen, an Englishman and an American, (Garrett Wall, Dave Mooney, Howard Brown & Robbie K.Jones), whose artistic name derives from the dark subterranean world of New York’s subway system. If they are still new to you, check out recent releases Fire on The Rails (2020) and Where to Now? (2022) and see why they are so hard to pigeonhole.
Formed in the Autumn of 2006 in Madrid around the eclectic line-up of acoustic guitar, electric bass, trumpet and cajón, over the following 17 years they have added banjo, ukulele and mandolin as well as honing their four part vocal harmonies, now very much an integral part of their “sound”.
Well-established in Spain where they are based, they are surprising music lovers everywhere with “Sun-shiny songs thriving on dark themes behind irresistible rhythms.” After a fortuitous invitation to the Costa del Folk Festival in Ibiza they have teamed up with Firebrand Music in the UK who also represent folk legends Show of Hands with whom they released a 23-track live album, “Dog Show Sessions”, in 2023.
With 7 albums under their belts (9 if you count the two they recorded as Garrett Wall Band 2006-2010) their versatile and accessible style allows Track Dogs to be at home in festivals as diverse as Americana Music Madrid, Electric Picnic (Ireland’s premiere mega-festival), Grand Northern Ukulele Festival, Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Folk Alliance International, SXSW, Cork Jazz Festival or even Trafalgar Square’s Saint Patrick’s Day Super Stage.
In 2023 they played the legendary Royal Albert Hall, made their debut at the equally legendary Glastonbury and capped it off with their 10th album, "Blind Summits & Hidden Dips", which entered the Folk Charts at No. 22.
“We’ve had many bands and artists come through our doors over the years, but Track Dogs are right up there with the very best of them, that much is certain! The connection they make with the audience is something special - smiles are the currency that they deal in with their mesmeric and ridiculously addictive sound. Destined to be huge festival favourites!”
