Luke De-Sciscio Biography
Bath based singer-songwriter Luke De-Sciscio is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist whose music has become synonomous with disarming honesty, ethereal beauty and candid expression.
Born in Swindon in 1992 Luke De-Sciscio was introduced to the guitar by his grandfather at a very early age. He spent his teenage years in rock, funk and blues bands before moving onto a canal boat in the city of Bath. Away from the city, on a boat with no electricity or heat, he discovered the depths and potential of a simple finger-picked acoustic guitar.
In 2019, following a series of life changing events, he recorded the Good Bye Folk Boy album over the course of 2 months. Recording live into a single microphone enabled a level of spontaneity that left no distance between his inspiration and the final recording.
This level of authenticity and intimacy immediately resonated with critics and fans and within a few short weeks Luke was booked on his first international and UK tours. Whilst in New York at the Good Bye Folk Boy album release show Luke discovered that his debut tour, including a support slot with Cat Stevens at Montreux Jazz Festival, was cancelled due to the global pandemic.
Luke returned home and doubled down on introspection , in just a few short years recording a catalogue of songs that would soundtrack his every emotion and feeling.
Eschewing traditional release schedules and music industry conventions, Luke has cultivated a unique relationship with his fans that is synomous with authenticity. Every syllabal underpinned by devotion to the moment and a gratitude that can only be obtained by true comprehension of its fragility.
