Navelle Hice

Navelle Hice is an independent hip-hop artist and songwriter, a native of Chester, Pennsylvania. Formerly known as the artist “Young Chief” then later “Chiefy”, Navelle had several accomplishments throughout his career. He had two appearances on BET’s 106 & Park. He’s performed on the great Apollo stage, Revolt TV, Daddy’s House Studios as well as many other stages in Pennsylvania, New York, Georgia and Texas over the years, and have a viral video with over 1 million views.

In March of 2015, Navelle relocated to the state of Georgia, Shortly after his move, Navelle realized the need to rebrand himself, so, he dropped his former stage name and changed the style and direction of his music. Since his rebranding, Navelle has accomplished quite a bit in such a short period of time. In June of 2015, Navelle released his first album entitled, “Faith, Hope & Love”. Navelle had the opportunity to open for Willie Moore Jr. in Atlanta and after his performance; he was invited by Willie Moore Jr. to be a guest on his radio show, the song, “L.W.G.D.”(Look What God Done) from the “Faith, Hope & Love” album was featured.

Navelle’s career continues to flourish, in early 2016, his song, “L.W.G.D.” won 3 consecutive weeks on Atlanta’s City Takers “Street Heat” radio show on 91.5FM. The song was later added to regular rotation. Navelle released his 2nd project, “The Hopeman” shortly after. During his time at the SXSW Music Festival in 2017 & 2018, Navelle had the opportunity to perform live on the Sway in the Morning Show. In September of 2016, Navelle was awarded the Gospel Choice Award for “Best Hip-Hop” artist in Atlanta. He was also named as one of the top 5 finalists for PHL Live Center Stage in Philadelphia.

In early 2017, Navelle released his project titled, "Hopeman 2: Make America Hope Again". After touring and preparing for his newborn baby, in 2018 Navelle started a new video series titled #SundaySamples. Every Sunday at 6:10pm he releasing a new freestyle video which has been picking up huge momentum for his newest album "Hopeman 3" which released December 8th, 2018. This album is a great introduction to who Navelle Hice is and where he came from, reflecting on his legacy, struggles, growth, and fatherhood. He continues to travel performing and spreading his message of ‘HOPE” to this generation. Recently, Navelle's freestyle on Sway In The Morning in October 2019 has gone viral. In two weeks the video achieved 1 million + views on platforms such as Facebook, & Youtube. Navelle is now known as “The Hopeman” everywhere he goes. An inspiration to this generation!
