Dibiase Biography

In 2005, an unordinary rumble was heard just outside of St. Louis. That rumble materialized into the riff-wielding, fire-breathing tone machine named DIBIASE. Started as a side project by (Ring, Cicada) guitarist Dave Goodman in 2002, DIBIASE’s first release, ‘Here Comes Forever’ (2011, Earth Analog Records ), proved that they could pummel you into submission with their unique brand of powerful and precise, instrumental “Jurassic thunder-rock,” (Riverfront Times). Mixtape Muse says, “Illinois instrumental outfit, Dibiase are a perfect strand of rock 'n' roll DNA. They mix the dynamics of math rock, the precision and proficiency of metal, the thrill of straight up rock 'n' roll, as well as the atmospherics of drone music...And while that all sounds rather serious, DIBIASE isn't weighted down with a strictly serious attitude." Since 2010, DIBIASE has shared the stage with Hum, Earth, Crobot, The Life and Times, Juicifer, and Electric Hawk winning audiences over with their “hypnotic, arpeggiated tendencies of Mastodon,” (thelast30minuteattentionspans). The reigning kings of stripped-down sound, DIBIASE wanted to release their new album, in 100% analog format. With fan support and a successful Kickstarter campaign, the Vinyl and digital release of “When Everything Means Nothing,” is now a reality. Recorded by Matt Talbott (Hum) at his Earth Analog studios, ‘When Everything Means Nothing’ is an onslaught of Sabbath-sized riffs, with expertly executed time shifts that would make the boys in Rush nod with approval. Propelled by drummer Lynn Sipole and guitarist David Goodman, each tune churns and burns with intensity and weight that will crumble any obstacle in its path. Get on the DIBIASE riffdozer or get run over! Rifftastic groove-laden stoner rock phenomenon
