About this concert
MCV is pleased to present our first annual Fall concert of fife and drum music, to be held at 51 Walden Performing Arts Center in historic downtown Concord, Massachusetts on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 3:00 pm.
The ensemble will perform a full afternoon of traditional and contemporary music composed or arranged for fife and drum. The concert will also feature the debut of the MCV Chamber Players. Tickets are now on sale.

Middlesex County Volunteers Fifes & Drums Biography
Middlesex County Volunteers Fifes & Drums was established in 1982 by Boston-area musicians who wished to further explore the traditional repertoires of the regimental fife and drum corps associated with the European or American armies during the American War for Independence, 1775-1783.
Today we have evolved into a repertory ensemble performing martial, dance, and folk music drawn from 17th, 18th, and early 19th century sources in America and Europe as well as contemporary compositions. Ultimately, MCV is about history and music, education and entertainment.
