Dead Words

Hitting every pool party, basement venue and house show possible since the summer of 2011, Ft. Worth’s Dead Words aren’t afraid to have fun in the name of punk rock. With subject matter running the gamut from Star Wars and girls to politics and personal introspection, Dead Words just write the music they want. Their musical inspiration ranges from punk icons the Ramones, Descendents and NOFX to 90’s alt-rock, folk punk and beach pop. When not showing up at your mom’s house to play a show in her kitchen, the band can be found playing festivals in the United States and Canada, or sharing the stage with influential punk and hardcore acts Richie Ramone, Guttermouth, SWMRS, H2O, Madball, Pears, Cruel Hand, Punk Rock Karaoke, Svetlanas, Direct Hit!, and tons more. In 2014, the band released the Hey Rockers! EP, and July 22, 2016 will see the release of their second EP, Good Grief. In the words of Dead Words vocalist Garrett Hollowell, Good Grief is “about juggling life on the road and life at home, and the way things change when you’re away on tour.” Stay tuned for more shows, more fun and more rock!
