Indee Star

Born of classical roots and raised in a glass menagerie of musical variety, Indee fka Indee Killed the Pop Star combines her unique indie singer-songwriter and folk pop sound with dream pop, psychedelia, jazz, classical and even soul styles all blended into one. Her sound and music has been compared to the likes of Jeff Buckley, Regina Spektor, Joni Mitchell, St. Vincent, Doodie, My Brightest Diamond, Kate Bush and Fiona Apple.

Indee has been performing since five years old with her biggest inspiration, her Juilliard pianist mother. Experimenting for years with the everything donut of musical styles eventually led to the development of Star’s blossoming into the multi-instrumentalist, female producer, songwriter, arranger and singer that she is today.

Named Atlanta’s “Best Vocalist of Creative Loafing” in 2018, Indee also had a song picked up by “New Music Friday” a highly coveted Spotify Editorial Playlist the same year from another project she sang on titled “Cold Arizona.” In 2022 Indee was featured on 90.1 WABE, Atlanta’s NPR station and she’s had her song “Skilky nas takyh” played on BBC Radio. “Skilky nas takyh” was a collaboration project with Mary Druganova and Dmytro Bulanov about the Ukrainian war.

Indee is currently working on two concept albums of original material called “La Bohemia” Parts I & II based on the profound experiences she has had in the last few years. She will complete both projects sometime this year and start to release new material at the end of 2023.
