Carlinho Motta, Compositor, Músico, Violonista e Cavaquinista Carioca, no singular, nasceu no bairro do Irajá, Zona Norte do Município do Rio de Janeiro, terra de muitos bambas da música popular, onde começou a tocar seu violão cultivando um apreço pelo Rock, ouvindo de “The Beatles” e “Rolling Stones” a “Deep Purple e Black Sabbath”, entre outras feras do rock, chegou, anos depois, a se aventurar no contrabaixo tocando em uma banda chamada “Força da Noite”. Isso se passou há quase quarenta anos, quando, ainda menino, foi assistir a um ensaio da banda que tocava em seu colégio e na falta do baixista, o baterista, Maurinho Castro Cortes, disse: - Se tu tocas violão, também toca contrabaixo; apresentando-o ao instrumento dizendo que as cordas “de cima” do violão eram iguais as quatro do contrabaixo. Carlinho Motta o pegou, um tanto assustado com o desafio, e ficou tirando um som, até que o pessoal da banda falou que ele tocava bem... Brincadeiras a parte, ele tirou os sons que costumava tirar no violão, e se integrou ao grupo, substituindo o músico que havia saído.

Após vários shows e apresentações em bailes com o grupo “Força da Noite”, do qual participavam também o Poeta Mauro Veras, o músico Ricardo (Papagaio) Silva e o músico, compositor e arranjador Abel Sampaio, Carlinho Motta, conheceu o cavaquinho e partiu em busca de uma nova proposta musical. Apaixonado pelo novo instrumento, aprendeu novos sons e, com a ajuda de Abel Sampaio, descobriu um novo universo musical: o Samba, a Bossa Nova e a MPB.

Vivendo na nata musical carioca, começou a tocar os famosos sambas dos grandes mestres nacionais como João Nogueira, Cartola, Candeia, Noca da Portela, Nelson Cavaquinho, Paulinho da Viola, Noel Rosa, Martinho da Vila; pela Bossa Nova, “bebeu” da fonte de grandes compositores:Tom Jobim, João Gilberto, Vinícius de Morais, Toquinho, Edu Lobo e, também se enveredou pela MPB de Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Djavan e se maravilhou com o som incrível de João Bosco e seus parceiros.

Durante seus estudos musicais, junto com Alfredo Figueiredo, Marcos José e Edmilson Ramos, fundou o “Grupo Canto do Bar” que, com um swing muito especial, ainda agita as casas noturnas do Rio de Janeiro, nos intervalos de agenda de suas apresentações solo, quando também divide palco com outros artistas como: Rui de Carvalho, Lucinha Arruda, Roberto Stepherson, entre outros grandes músicos da atualidade.

Em 2009, Carlinho Motta, passa a integrar o “Clube Caiubi de Compositores”, projeto, que através de um site, reúne mais de sete mil artistas entre compositores, poetas e letristas, com o propósito de mostrar as melodias que criava em seu violão. No Clube Caiubi de Compositores, conheceu muitos outros talentos deste grupo e, imediatamente, começou a realizar algumas parcerias, tendo, inclusive, algumas com Agenor Neto, com quem gravou seu primeiro trabalho, o CD/EP Autoral no final de 2012.

Carlinho Motta reuniu algumas de suas parcerias e está produzindo seu novo trabalho solo, com o auxílio luxuoso do arranjo e produção musical de Lobão Ramos e, em dezembro de 2014, lança seu CD, totalmente Autoral e parcerias com os artistas do Clube Caiubi de Compositores: Duda Flores, Marcio Celli, Luiz Carlos Santos, Naldo Miranda, Carlos Konka e Luciano Linhares.

Carlinho Motta, Composer, Musician, Guitarist and cavaquinho Carioca, in the singular, was born in the neighborhood of Irajá, Zona Norte in the city of Rio de Janeiro, a land of many wobbly popular music, where he began to play the guitar cultivating an appreciation for the Rock, listening to "the Beatles" and "Rolling Stones" to "Deep Purple and Black Sabbath", among other rock beasts arrived, years later, to venture into playing bass in a band called "Night Force". This happened almost forty years ago, when, as a boy, was attending a rehearsal of the band that played on his high school and lack of bassist, drummer, Maurinho Castro Cortes said: - If you touch the guitar, also plays bass; presenting it to the instrument saying that the strings "top" of the guitar were equal the four bass. Carlinho Motta took it, somewhat frightened by the challenge, and was taking a sound, until the band's staff said that he played well ... Jokes aside, he took the sounds that used to take on the guitar, and joined the group, replacing the musician who had left.

After several shows and performances at dances with the "Night Force" group, which also participated in the Poet Mauro Veras, the musician Ricardo (Parrot) Silva and the musician, composer and arranger Abel Sampaio, Carlinho Motta, met the ukulele and left in search of a new musical proposal. Passionate about the new instrument, learned new sounds and, with the help of Abel Sampaio found a new musical universe: Samba, Bossa Nova and MPB.

Living in Rio de Janeiro musical cream, began playing the famous sambas of the great national masters as John Nogueira, Top Hat, Candela, Portela Noca, Nelson Ukulele, Paulinho da Viola, Noel Rosa, Martinho da Vila; by Bossa Nova, "drank" the source of great composers: Tom Jobim, João Gilberto, Vinicius de Morais, Toquinho, Edu Lobo, and also engaging in the MPB Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Djavan and marveled at the amazing sound John Bosco and its partners.

During his musical studies, along with Alfredo Figueiredo, José Marcos and Edmilson Ramos, founded the "Bar Corner Group" which, with a very special swing, still stirs the nightclubs of Rio de Janeiro, the schedule intervals of his solo performances when also shares the stage with other artists such as Rui de Carvalho, Lucinha Arruda, Roberto Stepherson, among other great musicians of our time.

In 2009, Carlinho Motta, joins the "Caiubi Composers Club" project, through a website, brings together more than seven thousand artists between composers, poets and lyricists, with the purpose of showing the melodies he created on his guitar . In the Club Caiubi Composers, met many other talents of this group, and immediately began to make some partnerships, and even some with Agenor Neto, with whom he recorded his first work, the CD / Copyright EP in late 2012.

Carlinho Motta met some of its partnerships and is producing his new solo work, with the help of the luxurious arrangement and music production Lobao Ramos and in December 2014, released his CD, totally Copyright and partnerships with artists Caiubi Composers Club : Dudley Flowers, Marcio Celli, Luiz Carlos Santos, Naldo Miranda, Carlos Konka and Luciano Linhares.
