About this concert
DALHALLA 2022: THE HIVES, MANDO DIAO & THE SOUNDS Take a chance to see what everyone has been talking about since they last played Dalhalla. Two sold out evenings that broke the previous audience record twice and probably still echo between the spruces in the Dalarna forests. Three of Sweden's best live bands, The Hives, Mando Diao and The Sounds take Dalhalla, once again! THE HIVES The band from Fagersta who conquered the rock world with hits like "Hate To Say I Told You So", "Come On! ”And“ Tick Tick Boom ”. The Hives was formed during the early 1990s as new teenagers and with the effort, charm and talent has succeeded in becoming Sweden's largest international rock band. They have played on all the biggest TV shows in the world; won Grammar, P3 Gold, Government Music Export Award and NME Awards; toured with the Rolling Stones and AC / DC and stayed on top for almost 20 years. They regularly play for 10,000 spokespeople in all parts of the world and are called by those who know the best live band in the world! MANDO DIAO The statistics, prices and tributes speak their clear language; Mando Diao is one of the biggest rock bands we have in Sweden. Since its inception in 2002, the group's albums have sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide. There have been over 1500 concerts in more than 30 countries and Mando Diao has been the headliner for major international festivals. The band is very up-to-date with the new album "BANG" which was released October 18, where the first single "Long Long Way" has been played extensively on the radio. Mando Diao always goes their own way by following their artistic visions and interests, they are constantly reaching new heights and are constantly redefining pop music. With explosive energy and a wide selection of hits mixed with unexpected golden grains, their live shows are something out of the ordinary! THE SOUNDS "Hit Me", "Living In America", "Painted By Numbers", "No One Sleeps When I'm Awake" and "Shake Shake Shake" to name a few - the list of The Sound's successful hits are many. By delivering cocky and loud indie rock with irresistible synth loops, The Sounds found its magical recipe in Helsingborg during the late 1990s, and has over time become one of Sweden's most successful music exports. Expect energy, euphoria and a whole bead band of awesome indie hits, fronted by the band's least-expressive singer Maja Ivarsson!

I first saw The Hives in 2008 at Frequency Festival . Not a massive fan but ‘aware’. My jaw dropped at their performance. Seen them many times since. Short version. The Hives are not my favourite band on a daily basis. They are however , probably the best live act I ever seen, and I’ve seen ‘everyone’ . F*cking incredible xx

The Hives Biography

The Hives… on a creative hiatus… surely not? Yet, while it has been over ten years since the Swedish band’s last album, 2012’s Lex Hives, anyone fearing they have fallen into the ageing rock cliche of an act touring on past glories can rest easy. Yes, The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons is The Hives first full album in over a decade, but as its macabre title hints, the reason for the band’s absence from the studio has been uniquely and suitably The Hives. There was a problem… the increasingly long absence of The Hives’ founder, mentor and songwriter, the limelight-shunning Randy Fitzsimmons. Now, returning for their final act since his mysterious disappearance, the band have delivered a record that is not just worthy of their legacy, but one that adds fresh lustre to The Hives. The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons is a true renaissance.
