The Lady Machine Biography

The Lady Machine, BR Kammy is a major reference among Brazilian techno DJs and remains one of the few DJs that has gained a reputation solely due to skills and music selection on the decks without achieving a career as a producer. She has been at the forefront of the underground electronic scene in Brazil for many years, and her skills have taken her around the globe over the past decade, including tours of Asia, Latin America, and numerous tours of Europe with club and festival performances across the continent. Kammy stands by deep musical research and precise technique, her remarkably versatile sets, blend genres from techno in its many forms and variations to electro, acid and full industrial EBM, and when combined with her fast, furious, but tight mixing create a perfect atmosphere with the dancefloor. "I never limit myself to one style. A quality sound, with attitude, and always dance floor orientated are what I try to convey in my sets", explains Kammy. Techno Pioneers Recommend The compliments received from her peers, and tours realised around the world are the biggest rewards. Joining the worldwide electronic scene at such a young age, she gains attention wherever she plays, supported by leading artists such as Dave Clarke – inviting her for his stage at Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium - Ben Sims, Alan Oldham (DJ- T-1000) and Santiago Salazar from Los Hermanos, who recently said: "She's the real deal". Vogue Mag, Cosmopolitan and TV Soaps Kammy frequently appeared in the media in her home country of Brazil, featuring in pages of Vogue and Cosmopolitan magazines, and has been interviewed on a number of TV shows, and performed a Cameo role as a DJ in one of Brazil's most watched soaps, "Belissima" by GloboTV. "Quebra Tudo” Nights in Rio In 2007 Kammy presented to the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro some of the best techno DJs from Europe and Asia, including Ben Long (Space DJz), Miss Yetti, Takaaki Itoh. She also presented upcoming talented DJs debuting at “Quebra Tudo”. Her night ran successfully for 2 years until the following year, when she moved to Europe permanently. The Future Kammy relocated to Europe in 2010, where she has been focussing more time in learning the skills to make the tracks she has spent so long playing. Now in the UK, Kammy continues to hone her production skills, working with hardware, and concentrating on the quality, not quantity of output. Tracks will be coming soon....
