Drawing on their literary and post-punk and twang tendencies, their songs are imbued with aspects of Americana, blues, jazz and rock and roll. John Rybak + Friends: Deeply rooted and well-versed in American roots music and early southern blues John + Friends will take you on a musical road trip across the country with feel-good songs of substance and integrity The Nimbles are a San Francisco Bay Area-based group with varied musical backgrounds and tastes, from Southern Rock to Classical Music, to Latin Jazz, to Folk. As the name implies, a listener might hear a jazz standard, jumping to a Bluegrass tune, followed by an Eastern European-influenced song, and an old-fashioned blues: we call our style Genre Fluid. All band members write original songs, and are equally comfortable in various genres and styles. Even the covers of other people’s songs sound like originals, molded and transformed by the band’s style and individual approach. The same flexibility is evident in the number of instruments the band employs – a keyboard, a violin, numerous guitars, a mandolin, a bass, and countless percussion implements.
