Earthsea Biography
Earthsea are an alternative rock band from London, UK (via Cheshire and Shropshire) and are old friends. They write songs that contain textural soundscapes, salsa grooves and haunting melodies. They take influences from Japan, Radiohead, NIN, 80s electronica and a whole host of contemporary gems.
They've embarked on two nationwide tours and have played at venues such as Camden Assembly, Hoxton Bar and Grill, the Cavern Club and Manchester Academy 3. They have also been featured on XFM, BBC Introducing, The Manchester Evening News and Tom Robinson's 'Fresh on the Net'.
They have recently recorded two singles at Narcissus Studios (founded by Antony Genn & Martin Slattery), due for release in 2019. They are also working on their first full length release to follow up their 2017 EP 'Specimen'.
"By taking this unorthodox adventure into unmapped soundscapes, Earthsea have shown they are willing risk-takers and fearless experimentalists who put originality ahead of populism" - Derval Mcloat (Fresh On The Net)
