The Gaa Gaa's Biography

Formed after attending a garage punk night called ‘Bomp’ hosted by The Cryptics at venues in St Helier, Jersey Channel Islands. The club night made a huge impact on the islands growing music scene in the same vein as the influential Dirty Water Club in London. After two years of perfecting our live show come the end of 2005, the band relocated to Brighton and began touring persistently throughout the UK and Europe gaining a steady fan base in Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Sweden. With two EP's under our belts and various songs released on a number of compilations, our second effort Repulsion Seminar received 8/10 reviews, proving the group had matured on a massive level. Debut single ‘Voltaire’ was produced by James Aparicio (Nick Cave, Mogwai) and edited/mastered by Robert Harder (Brian Eno, The Slits) and was released on The Playground Records in November 2010. We have recently released latest single 'Close Your Eyes' produced by Ali Gavan (Former member of The Electric Soft Parade), out on our own label Movement-2-Records. The band are currently based in London, UK, and Grenoble, France working on our debut album set for release in 2018.
