About this concert
Established in Toronto in 1989, the SLSQ came to Music TORONTO in 1992 and returns annually. One of the world's great ensembles, the quartet has been the Ensemble-in-Residence at Stanford University since 1998. Fiercely committed to collaboration with living composers, the SLSQ also has a special dedication to the string quartets of Haydn. Guest pianist Stephen Prutsman is a laureate of both the Tchaikovsky (Moscow) and Queen Elisabeth (Brussels) Piano Competitions. He also received the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant. He is active as a classical and jazz pianist and composer. To celebrate their 30th anniversary season, the SLSQ will play this programme which reprises some of their history with Music TORONTO.

I love Toronto! They were the first concert I ever went to back in 1983 and (as of today), they are my last. Ha. 🎶💕🎶💕🎶
