ROSE ZITA FALKO AND BEN MASTWYK ANNOUNCE THEIR VICTORIAN SPRING TOUR An exciting new format of songs, stories and laughs takes in venues across Victoria. The tour will feature solo performances from both artists, along with some exciting collaborative moments and a sneak peak at some of their new songs. This Spring tour brings together two of Melbourne’s finest Americana musicians. Falko and Mastwyk are over the moon to be back together again for another tour with an exciting new format that will delight and surprise. The duo will launch their run in Geelong on 31 October and then take in other venues including their hometown, Melbourne. This year continues to be action packed for Melbourne-based Ben Mastwyk. He’s back in the studio for the third time and is always busy on the local gig scene, running solo or with his band The Millions. His acclaimed album, Winning Streak, described as “seventies country-soul glam with lashings of cosmic American pedal steel and psych-guitar glitz” by Country Update was nominated for best Country Album in The Age Music Victoria Awards 2018. Joining him will be Rose Zita Falko on the back of her successful debut EP release Original Son. Her single, A Town Called Lonely, shot up into the top 20 iTunes Country Music Chart upon its release. “Her songwriting gift, her remarkable voice, her professionalism, and her genuine delight in the patron’s response made it a musical evening to remember”, Australian Musician. Falko is also busy working on her debut album set for release in 2020. Falko and Mastwyk will deliver their show with their usual wit and skill and Victorian fans of Americana music will get a chance to hear what these two artists have been working on as they road test a few new tunes. It is fair to say this spring tour will bring on all the good humour, talent and energy Falko and Mastwyk are known for.
