About this concert
Al Stewart Hits & Misses Tour with his electric band The Empty Pockets. After touring for the last year in the USA with his band The Empty Pockets, Al Stewart brings this show to UK shores.
Stewart came to stardom as part of the legendary British folk revival in the sixties and seventies, and developed his own unique style of combining folk-rock songs with delicately woven tales of the great characters and events from history.
Al Stewart had released nineteen studio albums between “Bedsitter Images” in 1967 and “Sparks of Ancient Light” in 2008 and continues to tour extensively around the US, and Europe.
He is perhaps best known for his hit “Year of the Cat” from the platinum album of the same name and the platinum follow up album “Time Passages”.
The Empty Pockets’ often cerebral and sometimes playful indie rock sound is built upon a strong foundation of the timeless Americana, Blues, and Motown Soul that came before them. An old-school sensibility showcased by multiple lead singers, rich harmonies, and skilled instrumentalists sets “members of polished yet rootsy Chicago outfit Empty Pockets” apart (Rolling Stone).

The Empty Pockets Biography
Light flickers in even the darkest of spaces and smallest cracks. Similarly, The Empty Pockets
ignite a bright flame of their own by harnessing a joyful friction between Americana, folk, and
rock ‘n’ roll spiked with roots soul. The Chicago quartet—Josh Solomon [guitar, vocals], Erika
Brett [keyboards, vocals], Nate Bellon [bass, vocals], and Adam Balasco [drums]—lean on an
unspoken, yet airtight musical dialogue honed by countless miles on the road, performances
alongside the likes of Kenny Loggins, a procession of fan favorite releases (including a #1 debut),
and a wealth of memories together.
However, the musicians shine brighter than ever on their 2023 independent full-length LP,
Gotta Find The Moon.
“Gotta Find The Moon means, ‘There’s no time, but today’,” explains Josh. “We can’t wait for
the daylight in the morning. We have to find the light now in the darkness. The world is so
messed up. We don’t have the luxury of waiting for someone else to fix it; we all have to do our
little part.”
