Cyto

CYTO was founded by the soundtrack composer Christoph Schauer and the singer-songwriter Arc Morten in 2016 and is based in Berlin. CYTO is the most recent scion of the `MORPHOSE family´. Both musicians have already worked together as members of the electronic rock band LEM during 2000 and 2006 and met each other again in Berlin to make some noise with MORPHOSE.

„While MORPHOSE went back to its audio visual roots by riding an experimental post rocking wall of sound, we lost control again and created new room to share our passion for compact sounding songs.“

CYTO is heavily inspired by early 80´s acts like Joy Division, Gary Numan and Bauhaus.

​„Though we are celebrating the golden age of New Wave, we don´t want to create a soundtrack for a fading (f***ing) reminder. CYTO is more about a very personal but contemporary translation of the spirit of the eighties.
