Noosa declares itself a climate procrastination free zone.
We're choosing to get on with it and meet the challenges head on.
Rise To Meet The Tide. A day in the park where we can safely stand together, share our stories and learn some strategies to deal with the climate emergency in our daily lives.
Starting at 10am with our CAN DO Eco Fair where you can engage in discussions with representatives from Zero Emissions Noosa, Surfrider Foundation, Sunshine Coast Environment Council, Permaculture practitioners, Noosa Shire Council, Electric Bike and Vehicle agents and others.
Then from 12-6 pm, we have a stellar line up of live music with performances from :
The Barleyshakes : The Dave Flower Band : The Moonsets : The Dennis Sisters : Mark Moroney : JC & the Tree
Interspersed with carefully chosen speakers sharing their expert knowledge in various areas of the climate challenge including : Professor Ian Lowe, (Climate Scientist, Griffith University) : Tony Wellington (Noosa Mayor) : Paulina Rowland (Empowerment Teacher) : Zaia Kendall (Kendall Permaculture Farm) : Shellie Joseph (Youth Climate Strike leader) with a panel discussion moderated by ABC presenter and ex Powderfinger drummer Jon Coghill.
