A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS, MEN WITHOUT HAT & THE SPOONS THE 80s CLUB A Flock Of Seagulls may well be known for their bizarrely teased haircuts as much as their hit single I RAN. They were one of prime movers in the 80s new wave era. Growing out of the synth-heavy & ruthlessly stylish new romantic movement. In 1981, their song TELECOMMUNICATION became an underground hit in Euro-disco & new wave clubs. Men Without Hats - Canadian New wave/synthpop group. Known for the hits THE SAFETY DANCE (#3 on Billboard Hot 100) and POP GOES THE WORLD. Returned to the spotlight in 2011, with a breakout show at SXSW culminating a haitus of 20+ years. Seventh studio album LOVE IN THE AGE OF WAR (2012) was followed by extensive, well-received tours throughout North America & across the world in the years since. Spoons - They help define the sound of pop and new wave in the 80s with hits including Nova Heart, Romantic Traffic, Old Emotions and Tell No Lies. Not bad for a bunch of kids from Ontario.

my guys! they were awesome. can't say the same for the rest of the bill (Flock of Seagulls...you should maybe consider rehearsing before playing a gig), but the Hatless were as solid and entertaining as ever. have a pretty rich history with them and will always love them : ). great job! and thank you...

Men Without Hats Biography
Men Without Hats was a Canadian pop group from Montreal, Quebec who were popular in the early 1980s. They were characterized by the deep, expressive vocals of their lead singer Ivan and their elaborate use of synthesizers and electronic processing. Men Without Hats were always, at the core, Ivan Doroschuk and his brother Stefan, with various other members, including a third brother, Colin Doroschuk, as well as Jeremy Arrobas, Tracy Howe, Roman Martyn and Allan McCarthy.
Emerged in the early 1980s with an EP called Folk of the 80s (1980), but erupted onto the international scene a couple of years later with their hit single "The Safety Dance" (from Rhythm of Youth).
