Charlie Brennan Biography
Mixing indie pop sound with soulful writing and an electronic influence, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Charlie Brennan is genre bending. His unique catalogue and versatility has earned him over 50 million streams globally, and his songs “Let Me Be” and “Cool” reached #11 and #39 on Spotify’s Viral 50 Chart respectively. His newest EP “Same Moon” is scheduled to release in December 2020.
A self-taught musician who has been writing since the age of 12, Charlie began releasing his own music in high school. In 2015, “The Ocean,” one of his early releases from his debut album “Letters”, was featured in Pepsi’s World Emoji Day campaign.
While living in New York, Charlie found his rhythm, playing sold out shows at The Bowery Ballroom, Arlene’s Grocery, Pianos and The Delancey. He released a follow up album “ODDS/ENDS” in 2019. Much of the writing on the album was inspired by heartbreak and the experience of living in New York as a motivated independent artist.
Charlie began making frequent trips to Nashville following the release of “ODDS/ENDS”, writing for various artists with various songwriters, many of which collaborated with him on his newest project “Same Moon”. While in Nashville, Charlie recorded at Dark Horse Recording in Franklin, known for its work with notable artists like Taylor Swift and Neil Diamond. In 2020, Charlie relocated to Nashville full-time to pursue his music and writing career.
