About this concert
The Sheridan Arts Foundation presents Trout Steak Revival live in concert on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 9 p.m. After winning the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition in 2014, they emerged on the roots music scene. Their unique brand of mountain music stood out, though, and quickly the band caught the attention of fans and folk radio DJs alike. Over the last 3 years, the Colorado quintet has further refined its style and, with their latest album "Spirit to the Sea," delivers a mesmerizing and soul-quenching array of original songs resonating with the finer points of folk and Americana. Produced by Chris Pandolfi of The Infamous Stringdusters, the new album is a reflection of the depth and honesty of songwriting that is possible when a trusting band of friends grows together into a band of musicians. Tickets are $25 GA standing room and $35 reserved seats in the balcony. A $5 ticketing fee applies at all sales outlets. ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL.

Trout Steak was great and I always enjoy hearing them play. The crowd was enthusiastic and engaged in the music. Sound mix was a little off - needed more vocals. For the value - I’d prefer seeing Trout Steak at another venue. I didn’t feel our fee for beer tasters was money well spent. It would have been better just purchasing full priced beers than paying the entrance fee to the “festival”

Trout Steak Revival Biography

Ever since winning the 2014 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition, Trout Steak Revival has quickly become a quintessential Colorado band. The band won an Emmy Award for a soundtrack they contributed to a Rocky Mountain PBS web documentary. They’ve collaborated with school children in mentoring programs in Denver and Steamboat Springs. Their music is featured on Bank of Colorado’s radio and television advertisements. Most recently, Westword named them Denver’s Best Bluegrass Band, and they were nominated as a Momentum Band of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association.

Defined more by expressive songwriting and heartfelt harmonies rather than any one genre, Trout Steak Revival crosses over and blends the bounds of folk, indie, bluegrass, and roots, and in doing so, evokes its own style of Americana. With five band members all contributing unique lyrics, lead vocals, acoustic instrumentation, and harmonies, Trout Steak Revival crafts memorable tunes and delivers them to an energetic fanbase that grows hand-in-hand with the band.
