Priceless Da Roc Biography

Imagine waking up one day, packing your bags and moving to a city where you didn't know anyone or anything about the area in hope of starting a music career. Sounds pretty unpromising don't it? Especially in an era in Hop-Hop where your success is determined off of who you know instead of what your talent can actually offer. It could at times seem impossible, I mean..where would you start? Most people would lose confidence, fold under pressure, be easily misguided or simply give up. Not in this case.

Born Shaunrick Sims on March 3 in the central valley of California, Hip-Hop Artist/Song Writer/Producer/Actor/ Priceless Da ROC (or simply known as Priceless) moved back and forth between Jamaica Queens, NY and Lompoc, CA until his stepfather received military orders to move to Washington, DC. Moving from state to state introduced Priceless to new cultures, lifestyles, different genres of music and also forced him to meet new people and make new friends, which ultimately helped his communication skills.

Immediately after graduating from High School, Priceless moved back to California in hope of starting a rap career in Los Angeles. After only a year of being there, Priceless got wrapped up in gang activity, drugs, women, robberies and eventually was homeless. Dropping to under 100 pounds, sleeping outside, bouncing from trap house to trap house in hope of finding a place to stay for the night, Priceless realizing this wasn't the path he wanted to take his life, flew back to Washington DC.

After a year of working, getting his act together, learning how to mix, master and produce his own music, Priceless figured it was time to give California another shot, this time to San Francisco. Within his first 3 years of moving to SF, Priceless was featured on MTV2, was apart of the bay area's popular underground "Team Backpack Cyphers", produced for Def Jam Recording artist Juelz Santana (Track Tittle "King Of New York") was the first artist from San Francisco to become the Freestyle Friday Champion on BET's 106&Park, was announced on the top 10 "Bay Area Freshmen Of The Year" list in 2012 as well as helping land the #1 record of the year spot on 106.1 Kmel in San Francisco for top 100 songs on 2012 in the bay area (Slow Down, With Clyde Carson) and most notably.. Creating the popular J12 dance and Gas Paddle wich then spiraled into the new style of dancing & culture in the bay area known as "Gettin Saucy",

With millions of views on YouTube, throwing the wildest parties in the bay area (which are known to reach capacity), Priceless Da ROC is not only showing he is diverse by making hit club songs, R&B tracks, spitting high energy punchlines in battles/cyphers around the world, he's also showing that with hard work and determination anything is possible. Now, representing for the bay area as one of the brightest up-and coming stars, Priceless is showing that he has no signs of slowing down and that its safe to say..this time.. he's here to stay.
