Buffalo Rose Biography
Buffalo Rose is a modern folk band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a penchant for harmony and an intense love of the natural world. The band's lineup has snowballed from its inception in the spring of 2016 to include three vocalists (Mariko Reid, Lucy Clabby, and Shane McLaughlin) and four string instruments: guitar (Shane McLaughlin), dobro (Malcolm Inglis), bass (Jason Rafalak) and mandolin (Bryce Rabideau). These unique musical ingredients come together in a mesmerizing harmonic puzzle that is at times haunting, other times foot-tapping, and always a good time. After just six months together Buffalo Rose put out their debut EP, Red Wagon, in November 2016. After an energetic response to this bite-sized record, the group continued to use their momentum to begin work on their first full-length album, anticipated release in spring 2018, while sharing the stage along the way with a variety of national acts including The Infamous Stringdusters, The Dustbowl Revival, Yarn, and Dangermuffin. In the meantime, you can catch them at your favorite Pittsburgh watering holes and street corners, tapping out tunes that are sure to get stuck in your head Folk and Soul-grass with soaring vocal harmonies
