A pickup truck, a soundtrack and some encouragement from his daughter was all it took for Kris Jones to become one of the most talked about internet stars of 2017. With a voice as smooth as “Tennessee Whiskey,” Jones belted out the tune of the same name from the front seat of his work truck as his daughter recorded the performance.
The video went on to garner roughly 60 million views and earn the hard-working dad an impressive social media following as well as appearances on radio and television shows worldwide, including the Emmy Award-winning The Ellen Show and CMT’s Pickler & Ben.
Influenced by the country sounds of George Jones and Garth Brooks, the edgy contemporary style of Christian singer Carman, and the impeccable harmonies of The Temptations, Jones developed his own vocal styling that appeals to lovers of every musical genre.
The talented father of three put his musical dreams on hold to raise his family, but he never
stopped singing. In fact, he sang at every opportunity, even if it was just for his
family in the car. Little did he know that an impromptu video recorded on a cell phone in a Home Depot parking lot would be the first step in seeing his
lifelong dream come true.
In the spring of 2018, Jones released his self-titled, debut EP.
