Jeff Black Biography
"Black is an artist of substance," wrote Billboard in a review that compared his piano ballads to Randy Newman and his rockers to Bruce Springsteen. But Jeff Black is too complicated to make it the easy. His songs take unexpected turns, cursing and snarling at points, showing their lust and their desire as well as their determination to remain bound for glory.
A hit songwriter for other artists, Black's own albums have a won him a loyal following with discerning music fans, including critics and music industry insiders. In 2005 Black began podcasting "Black Tuesdays," a weekly podcast rated New and Notable by iTunes and featured on NPR's "All Things Considered."
Currently writing new material for two future release and taking time off for a few solo shows here and there, Jeff Black is also keeping very busy scoring soundtracks.
