Carolyn Birch

Americana-Folk Blues singer/songwriter Carolyn Birch began her music adventure at the age of five studying classical accordion. In her teen years, Carolyn became a folk singer playing in local coffee houses in the Washington D.C. area. She went on to play music in Southern California after relocating to attend college.

After a successful business career, Carolyn currently resides on the Central Coast in Morro Bay pursuing her passion for songwriting and performance.

Carolyn’s songwriting has been influenced by her life experiences and social issues of the day. Artists such as Joan Baez, Phoebe Snow, and Tracy Chapman, just to name a few, have provided the inspiration for many of her current songs. Her bluesy voice has matured into what has been described as a soulful rock blend.

Recent notable events include “Two” Songwriting awards for best song in the Songwriters at Play Contests produced by Steve Key. She also performed for the Music Com at SLO Brew this year. Carolyn is currently producing a show that includes talented female artists from the Central Coast.

Carolyn can be seen performing in venues on the Central Coast.
