Fair City Fire Biography

“Austin four-piece, Fair City Fire, has been making the Live Music Capital sweat with their sweltering take on rock n roll ever since they sparked up back in 2014.“ (Jack Anderson, KUTX). Their sound is marked by tasteful guitar work, a driving rhythm section, and powerhouse vocals that command attention. The band has a history of successful local performances, including such Austin staples as Antone's, Stubbs, Mohawk and Empire Control Room.
In March of 2015, FCF began their annual tradition of performing and gaining fans across the US in support of their debut EP, “Say It Loud”. In 2016, they followed up with their first full length album “The Simple Truth” supported by a bigger and better tour. In conjunction with the creation of their first annual summer charity concert, The Too Damn Hot Affair, they were also named Austin Music Foundation’s Artist of the Month for August 2016.
Fair City Fire released two singles in 2017, “Attack” and “No Promises” and went on an extensive national tour. The second annual “Too Damn Hot Affair” put them in front of an impressive crowd at the legendary Antone's in August 2017. In 2018, they released their second full length album, "Shake Your Bones" with their biggest and most expansive tour to date. They performed in 17 cities all over the US! 2018 also marked the growth of their podcast, Say It Loud, which features compelling conversations with local songwriters, bands and other Austin music industry professionals. In October 2018, Say It Loud did two live episodes officially as part of the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
In June 2019, they released a new single, “Simple Stupid”, and hit the road for their 5th National tour in July. “Simple Stupid” was named KUTX “Song of the Day” on August 29, 2019. 2019’s Too Damn Hot Affair at Antone’s featured Austin Mayor, Steve Adler, officially proclaiming August 31st “Fair City Fire Day” in Austin, Texas.
