Won't Stay Dead Biography
Won't Stay Dead is a horror-themed pop punk band from Chicago, IL that blends catchy hooks and harmonies with macabre lyrics about murder and all things otherworldly. The band formed in 2017 in Chicago, IL and has been playing with the current lineup since late 2022. They have drawn comparisons to Alkaline Trio, The Bombpops, My Chemical Romance, and Veruca Salt.
Won't Stay Dead released their first full-length album 'Purgatory' in October of 2021 via Don't Panic Records & Distro, featuring songs inspired by horror movies including The Lost Boys, Ginger Snaps, Deep Red, and Rear Window.
In February 2023, the band worked with UK label We Are Horror Records to release the 3-track EP '3 Hits from Purgatory,' featuring outtakes from the 'Purgatory' recording sessions.
Won't Stay Dead have played all around the Midwest and have shared the stage with the likes of Teenage Bottlerocket, The Falcon, Days N Daze, Blitzkid, The Dopamines, Flatfoot 56, Calabrese, The Bollweevils, Huntingtons, and Much the Same.
