Andreas Arnold Biography
Andreas Arnold is a guitarist, composer and producer between flamenco and jazz, currently based in New York City. He has released four albums under his own name, most recently The New York Flamenco Jazz Project - Mosaico (2012).
In 2013, he premiered his multimedia performance Suite Camus in Paris and NYC. He is currently the musical director for internationally acclaimed Jordanian singer Farah Siraj. He co-produced her new album Dunya as well as Maria Toro’s latest work Contraluz.
Andreas (*1981) was raised in a family of classical musicians in Stuttgart, Germany. He studied jazz in Amsterdam and New York. Since 2008 he has been focusing mainly on flamenco guitar under the guidance of Pedro Cortes in New York. He also spent considerable time in Jerez de la Frontera and Madrid, Spain, where he studied with El Viejin, Antonio Rey, Augustin de la Fuente, Juan Diego and El Entri.
He has performed his music on five continents, including venues such as Noche Blanca Flamenco Festival (Cordoba), Sunset (Paris), Joe's Pub (NYC), House of Blues and Jazz (Shanghai) and Biblioteca Nacional de Peru (Lima).
