About this concert
The Society Lead by Paul Gilmartin, the drummer and founder of The Danse Society and in effect this is still that band. The sound remains, the and the powerhouse drumming is the same. New songs echo those familiar originals that will be heard but move forward and inspire all anew. http://thesocietyuk.com Dyonisis Dyonisis formed in a fit of drunk somewhere around 2005. We focus on melodic, layered guitars and vocals building into an ethereal-rock orientated sound - psychedelia for the broken-hearted. We released a self-titled debut in 2007, and the follow-up "Intoxicated" in 2010. We're currently recording our next release! 2016 saw the departure of 2nd-vocalist Louisa, and the addition of a live drummer, Diz Carberry. We're in new, refreshing times over here in Dyonisis-land! Jan Doyle Band Everyone's favourite insurrectionary neo futurists return with their flamboyant mixture of post punk, punk, industrial and frankly whatever else takes their fancy. Forever spectacular in performance in a manner you can never ignore. HOLY Braille And now introducing to South Yorkshire Holy Braille. This demonic Electronic darkwave duo from Sunderland really impressed us with a real grab you by the throat kind of ethos with huge power. Steph is the sort of performer who doesn't restrict herself to the stage and fully engages the audience whilst Eliot coolly operates the synths in a more background capacity. Kalter (Formerly known as Nausea) Darkwave post punk project fronted by Samuel Cooper who runs The Black Lodge DJ nights and did the Dark Entries clubnight after our last event. At times reminiscent of Cabaret Voltaire and other times more in the vein of minimal synth post punk, it's fabulously filled with atmospheric sounds.

Jan Doyle Band Biography

Jan Doyle Band weave and wind their own unique path through synthpop industrial goth and punk with a spectacularly engaging live show. Never keen to repeat a sound they are always adventuring and moving forwards. "One can learn from the confidence and stage presence Derek showcases when looking right into your face reciting his lyrics and breaking synths in pointier heels I could ever walk with" - Emese of Black Nail Cabaret “Insurrectionary Neo Futurists”, and as they have questioned themselves, it's odd how endless every-generational regurgitation of RnB and rock tropes is (at least mostly) unquestioned, unjudged, welcomed even, while anyone playing, performing, anything that could be damned and boxed as 80s synth pop is dismissed as “řetro”; don't make the mistake of doing that to this bunch. They are utterly fresh, present, and insanely danceable. Enjoy! I certainly did, and a damned sight more than I would J. Random guitar band appearing at every stage near you. Loved them, I did." - Fan Pete Jordan on his first encounter with the band "[T]he live incarnation[ of the band] took the music to another level. Having Williams as your front man helps. Looking like a wasted teenager who barely gets out in the daylight, possibly on account of reading way too many 2000AD comics in a dingy and grim bedroom." - Rob Dyer of http://dsoaudio.com Insurrectionary Neo Futurists Dark electronics, punk performance, new romantic glamour.
