Echoes of The Clash, The Only Ones and The Libertines abound, in songs written and performed by men who've lived, hard and well, and returned to tell their peculiar and riveting tales in songs whose titles alone The Body's Gone, Waste Of The Day, Old Man's Balloons tell their own, colourful tales. Ex Bob/ Jamie WednesdayBlack Shiver 2 piece from Nottingham, dealing cerebral alt pop with plenty in the way of light n shade and general dynamism, even though it's quite a sparse stripped down sound, heavier tunes nod to Deus Jon Mark Doyle-Skewed art pop, with new order-esque bass lines and flash guitar-lines, quite off-kilter but rather compelling. Yavenirie-Female fronted psych-infised art folk with undertones of Goth.
