James Quick Biography
Heartfelt singer-songwriter (and college dropout) James Quick emerged in 2016 with not much more than
a handful of tracks recorded in his dorm room and an insatiable will to succeed. With a style that evokes James Bay, Ed Sheeran, Jon Bellion and John Mayer, James achieves a balance of unforgettable hooks
and honest, relatable storytelling about his relationships, fears and ambitions. The style came to fruition shortly after a move to New Orleans where James recorded his debut EP "Leftovers", which earned James
quite an unexpected organic following (nearly 5 million streams on Spotify to date).
Born in 1996 in Marin just outside San Francisco, James honed his skills playing guitar in his high school
jazz band, along with a jazz trio he formed shortly after - the influence of which is still clear in James' exploratory guitar work today. James' live set incorporates sampled and electronic elements, bringing a
renewed energy to his tracks.
