Dan's gig with Ron Steen Quartet last night was truly magical! The room was beautiful, with jazz art everywhere. The food was reasonably priced, plentiful and delicious, the service was perfect, and the music was amazing! A man tap-danced throughout an entire song, no small feat! Many people were dancing, a good time was had by all!

Adali Alexander and Dan Balmer made a great duo in an intimate venue. We really enjoyed the excellent performance and interaction.

Dan Balmer's birthday jam/bash was a blast! There was a cake with a guitar on it, good food and spirits served by a friendly and skilled staff, lovely weather, and The Quiet Trio accompying Dan. They did a lovely version of The Beatles' "Yesterday." At the end, we all sang Dan "Happy birthday." I couldn't hear what Dan was saying to the crowd, but I did get to wish my good friend Dan Happy birthday!

I didn't see this show, but was delighted to see Dan with Adlai Alexander at Corkscrew Wine Bar a few weeks ago. Live music is best, and Dan is Portland's best music! The surroundings are quite nice, tasty beer and wine flowed while Dan and Adlai played beautifully! It was unannounced, yet well-attended. While Adlai belted out More Today than Yesterday I was snapping my fingers and dancing in my seat. Add a little general silliness on both their parts, and it all made for an enchanting evening!
