Ricky zoekt de kern van de liedjes en maakt ze persoonlijk, of ze nou eigen composities zingt of nummers interpreteert van Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Steve Earle of Sam Cooke. Ruud graaft op zijn laatste plaat naar zijn eigen wortels en komt soms dicht bij die van het publiek. Singer-songwriters met een talent om te verbinden. Na afloop ga je geheid met een warm gevoel naar huis.

Ruud Houweling Biography

Ruud Houweling quietly established a reputation in the Netherlands as a modern eclectic artist. Considered by some critics as one of Holland’s finest songwriters, as the guitar playing singer with his former band Cloudmachine and since 2015 as a solo artist. But also as a composer for Dutch public broadcasting NPO, on national television. His songs have been recorded by national and international artists with gold and platinum awards in Germany, Finland, Russia, and the Czech Republic. He can often be seen on stages in the Netherlands and also played on small festivals in the USA and UK. The EP The Wind Just Blew A Day Away has been nominated for the 18th Independent Music Awards (USA/2020). Recent collaborations include Rob Wijtman (of Ocobar), Egon Kracht, Ro Krauss (of Släpstick), Ricky Koole , Bertolf, Jon Allen and Adam Schreiber (C.W. Stoneking)
