Sourmash Biography

SOURMASH - consisting of Tim Henry (vocals, guitar), Nick Farine (guitar), Dave Stanoszek (bass) and Brian Forsha (drums)- is an award-winning rock act hailing from Pennsylvania, USA. Since its inception in 2010; the act has evolved into a formidable, original rock and roll band. With the influences of hard, southern and classic rock, along with an incomparable work ethic; Sourmash is out to prove that Rock & Roll is alive and well.

Throughout its rich history, the band has been relentlessly performing and releasing material to continually grow a strong and loyal following. Sourmash is a fiercely independent organization that takes pride in not being associated with large record and entertainment companies. The band writes, records, distributes, promotes and tours on its own. The act is a consistent headliner and favorite for festivals, motorcycle rallies and charitable events. Comprised entirely of avid motorcyclists that ride to many of their shows, Sourmash is touted as the Baddest Biker Band on the Planet. The band has shared the stage with many national acts - Great White, Saliva, Jackyl, Lita Ford, Blackberry Smoke, Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot, David Allan Coe and more. Country stalwart, Luke Combs opened for Sourmash in 2016.

Music from Sourmash has been heard in the US and globally in multiple formats. Through distributions on TouchTunes and AMI jukeboxes; airing on SiriusXM(3 singles); and airing on terrestrial radio; Sourmash has reached audiences across North America. Their music has been heard worldwide in film, TV, physical sales and streaming services. The single Wild Willie (August 2020) alone has amassed over 150,000 streams through Spotify, Amazon and other services.

Sourmash has been recognized both regionally and internationally for music and musicianship throughout its existence. Most recently, the act has been nominated in several categories in the 2024 FPCM Red Carpet Awards in Holland. Sourmash won Entertainer of the Year (2021), Duo/Group of the Year (2022), and Vocalist of the Year (2022) awards at the Josie Music Awards – the world’s largest awards organization for independent artists. The act received a total of seventeen JMA nominations from 2021 through 2023. Additionally, Sourmash has been recognized in Western PA – receiving numerous nominations in multiple years for the Pittsburgh Music Awards. Sourmash has brought home the Best Rock Band and Song of the Year awards, while winning in each individual musician category on multiple occasions. Other notable awards: The Pittsburgh City Paper’s Face The Music voted Sourmash as the People’s Choice Winner of 2017; Touch Tunes Jukebox listed Sourmash as a Breakout Band in 2015; and in 2012, Sourmash was recognized by Clayton USA by naming the act as their Pick of the Week.
