About this concert
Every year the Wheatsheaf adopts one worthy cause and this year we're supporting The Lullaby Trust, which is a relatively small charity that raises awareness of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), provides expert advice on safer sleep for babies and offers emotional support for bereaved families. Wheaty regulars, Joe and Christine Arnold, tragically lost their 8 week old daughter Bonnie when she was a victim of cot death (now known as SIDS). Soon after Bonnie passed away, Joe and Christine were put in touch with The Lullaby Trust who were a great support to the family and their way of recovery from such a heartbreaking experience was to focus on fundraising for the fantastic work the charity carries out on a day-to-day basis. Since 1985, the Arnold family have been wonderful supporters over the Lullaby Trust by hosting a number of events including a biennial fundraiser at Epsom Downs named 'Bonnie's Ball'. Christine and Joe's son, Jack, will be running the London Marathon this year.
Christine told the Wheatsheaf Weekly "Bonnie's 'Family' has grown over the past 33 years in many diverse and unexpected ways. Thank you to the Wheaty patrons for being and becoming part of this 'Family' and adopting The Lullaby Trust as your 2019 charity".
