Hickory Signals and the Briar Thorns come to Steyning for a very special show in support of the Maher Women and Children's Refuge
Hickory Signals
Like stepping back into a bygone age, both in terms of musicality and atmosphere - FATEA Magazine
Both multi-instrumentalists, Laura and Adam accompany strong vocal melodies with guitar, shruti, flute, glockenspiel and a variety of percussion, layering sounds carefully and minimally to atmospheric effect. Together they create a unique live sound and as such Hickory Signals is enjoying a busy performance schedule and a growing following.
The Briar Thorns
The recently formed four piece bring their songs of hope, desire, love and longing to the evening. Expect a multitude of instruments including guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, mandola, harmonica and voice in the mix. Songs based on the pastoral folk tradition mixed with a Celtish influence and a contemporary twist. Andy, Nigel, Mel and Gary are delighted to support this very worthwhile event.
Tickets are £15 each and includes a glass of wine...
