After being at the heart of big band folksters, Bellowhead, Benji enlists fellow ex-Header Pete Flood on drums with Pete Thomas on bass to stir up raucous riffs and potent songs.

Benji Kirkpatrick Biography

Benji Kirkpatrick is a singer, songwriter and musician. He has been performing solo for nearly 25 years. Benji’s new solo album of original material is due for release during Autumn 2023.

Well known as rythmic driver and key member of multiple BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winning big band, Bellowhead, Benji regularly collaborates with Seth Lakeman. He was one third of acclaimed ‘bloke folk’ trio, Faustus.

Benji’s Alt roots band, The Excess, is a three-piece power line-up comprising Joelle Barker on drums and Pete Thomas on bass.
