About this concert
On September 21, 2018 the community of Dunrobin and surrounding areas were devastated by tornadoes. Some victims of the tornadoes who lost their homes remain homeless today, and many others will be affected for years to come.
On May 2, 2019, the flood waters of the Ottawa River reached their peak, leaving hundreds of homeowners in ruins. Disaster relief was intense during the weeks leading up to the flooding, but dried up quickly as the waters receded and the floods were no longer in the media headlines.
On September 21, 2019, victims of the 2018 tornadoes are commemorating the one-year anniversary by showing support for victims of the 2019 floods. After one year, tornado victims have witnessed the continued, unmet needs of many in the area, and want to make a difference for their community.
PROCEEDS: All donations and ticket sales net proceeds will be administered by United Way Ottawa for the benefit of flood victims through programs administered by West Ottawa Community Resource Centre.
